Provider Update 10/24/08

Continued Stay Requests (CSR) Submitted for Alignment Purposes

1. A clinical review of the Continued Stay Request (CSR) will NOT be required for ISP alignment:

• If a CSR is submitted with a requested end date within 30 days of the previous authorization end date and
• A note is provided in the Additional Information section of the review that states “CSR submitted only to align with ISP” and
• There is no significant increase in units from the previous authorization

All other CSR submissions will be clinically reviewed and clinical documentation is required even if the request is submitted only in order to align with the ISP date.

APS CareConnection Changes Planned for the First Week of November

1. Administrative Page: "Date Worker Assigned" with date field and date picker. This is a required field for CI, ICM and ACT providers. Enter the date that the CSW worker was assigned to work with the consumer.

2. Multi Axial Assessment Page- at the top of the page "Date of Diagnostic Assessment", with a date field and date picker. This is required for CI, ICM and ACT Providers. Enter the date that the Diagnostic Assessment was completed.

3. RDS Page Corrections- so that the online form is consistent with the original DHHS form:

• Correction- included "Dialectical Behavioral Therapy”
• Correct title "Financial Security Resources" to "Legal Resources"
• "Financial Security Resources", box. Choices in it are:
  
  • Assistance with Managing Money
  • Assistance with Securing Public Benefits (e.g. SSI, TANF, Food Stamps, General Assistance, MaineCare)
  • Representative Payee
  • Other Financial Security Resources (briefly describe)
    

4. In the Personal Growth/Community Participation Resources box, correct the first word at the top of the list from "Vocational" to "Avocational".

5. Underneath the "Personal Growth..." box, At the very bottom add another box with the title: Other Resources (briefly describe), and a text box.
