Values in these drop-downs will not carry forward on EXT and COPY functions.
2. Discharge Form Changes:
-
“CALOCUS Composite Score” has been changed to “Caregiver Questionnaire” and the associated drop-down has increased to a range of “1-99”.
-
“CALOCUS Level of Care” has been changed to “ASAM Level” and drop-down choices have been changed to: I; II.1; II.5; III.1; III.3; III.5; III.7; IV.
-
“Subscale Scores” section title has been changed to “CAFAS/PECFAS”.
3. Contact for Service Notifications will now allow the COPY function.
4. The “View Services History” button will now show the Authorization Type.
The following changes went into effect in APS CareConnection® on 4/2/09:
1. Providers (excluding hospitals, PNMI’s and Crisis Units) can now submit Continued Stay Reviews up to ten (10) days after the last authorized day. This is an increase from the current five (5) days. This change was implemented as one of the solutions from the Administrative Burden Reduction project. PLEASE NOTE: All clinical reviews must be clinically authorized in order for providers to bill for service. Submitting reviews up to ten days after the last authorized days puts a provider at risk of providing service that may not be approved and cannot be billed. We strongly suggest that providers use this 10 day period "only in emergencies". Do not build this "into your process" of managing the due dates for authorization requests.
2. Discharge Submission:
-
When the discharge date is within the authorization dates, the authorization end date will be automatically decreased to be the same as the discharge date.
-
When the discharge date is beyond the last authorized day, the discharge date will be recorded in the discharge form but will not change the authorization end date.
-
A discharge date before the authorization start date cannot be submitted.
3. Enrollment/RDS Required fields:
4. The "Edit Request" button is no longer available. To Edit a request, contact APS Healthcare provider relations.
