Retrospective Review

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services has contracted with APS Healthcare to perform retrospective audit review of clinical records of members receiving MaineCare funded behavioral health services in the State of Maine. Each month approximately 100 medical/client records will be selected at random from among discharged members statewide. Providers will be asked to mail or deliver a copy of the records to APS Healthcare. The documentation will be reviewed to audit the quality and medical necessity of services, to gather data for quality improvement activities, and to evaluate the impact of policy changes. Requests for records will be mailed to providers beginning in May 2008.

Provider Survey Coming Soon

APS Healthcare is committed to continuous improvement of its services. To that end, providers will receive an email 10-question survey in May, asking them to rate various aspects of the APS Healthcare-Maine program. Surveys are being sent to providers through an online survey system called Survey Monkey. Survey’s can be submitted anonymously. Please consider taking a few minutes to complete a survey. APS Healthcare is very interested in providers’ perspective on our activities. Thanks in advance for helping with this.
