APS CareConnection® Update 2/1/08

APS CareConnection® Updates effective 2/15/08:

The following APS CareConnection® System Updates will be operational 2/15/08. (Screen shots for these changes will be included in the User Manual). Forms on the website now correspond to these changes

Initial Registration and Contact for Service Notification

  • New Section added for Guardianship/ Power of Attorney demographics with drop down choices for Guardian Organization if applicable and Relationship to Member
  • Psychological Services choice added to Category of Service drop down.

Prior Authorization Reviews

  • Same changes as Initial Registration PLUS:
  • CSS Enrollment Questions added for Section 17 Services only.
    • CSS Date of Application
    • CSS Date of Assignment
    • Location of member at time of application
  • Assessment Tools (LOCUS, CALOCUS, and CAFAS) require numeric entries and CAFAS total score auto tabulates from sub scores. LOCUS Score requires date most recently completed
  • Psychiatric medication questions has unknown option added to Treatment and Services History Section has added a prompt added at the beginning: Answer the following questions to the best of your knowledge
  • Language change has been made to several questions which now read as follows:
    • How long has member been receiving this service?
    • How many times has member been seen by your service within this authorization period?
    • For youth under age 18, number of times run away for over a 24 hour period?
    • Was the member involved with the legal system/ police within the last 6 months?
    • Since the last authorization period has the member missed a significant number of days of school?
  • Drop down choices for questions added: □ 0 □ 1-2 □ 3-4 □ 5 or more and Yes, No, and Unknown
  • Type of School section deleted
  • Foster Care option added under Current Living Situation
  • Increased number of characters allowed in Additional Information Section
